Suspension, Handling, and Brakes Talk about Struts/springs, coilovers, anti-swaybars, strut bars, steering, Pads, fluid, lines, rotors, calipers, boosters, and anything that is brake and suspension related.

Going to a larger rear swaybar will reduce understeer?

When I finally get around to it, I think I'm going to go with a Whiteline 27mm adjustable front, a 24mm adjustable rear, and add the anti-lift kit. The car also needs an alignment so I could have a little negative camber dialed in there. Thanks for your help, guys.

Do you see any negatives with that setup and my stock struts and Prodrives?

im not too familiar with the aftermarket springs, and how they work with the stock shocks. ive always been a fan of coilover setups.

The negative is that it won't give you the crisp turn-in a proper set of coilovers would, but it will be much more comfortable on the street. You'd have a pretty decent setup.

how long can the stock struts last with the aftermarket springs? what will happen if the struts go dead? so from what you guys saying from above, will the rear sway bar help the car handling in this case?

Lightbulb My .02 Cents!

I entered this a bit late. But I am running Subie Solutions/IPD/Rallitek bars and there is ZIP for understeer.

In fact, the handling on my wagon is dead *** the same as the '06 STI with the DCCD on auto (59% rear 49% front).

I am on the 7/8" front and the 3/4" rear set 'full hard'... I am so happy with this set-up, that running downhill (don't forget I have an N/A car) I am as quick in my wagon as I am in the STI.

The Evo still gets the edge on the same road however, but that's a different story all-together!

Unless you have a well damped coilover ;] But for someone looking to mod a street car, the price is usually too expensive.

I was thinking about the same set up. I was going to do the 24mm front with my perrin 22mm rear but now that they came out with the 27mm i might just throw that on and swap out the perrin for the a 24mm whiteline.

Uh, yeah... like I said, a proper set of coilovers.
