breaking in BBK
Looking for some comments from you boys on my AP brake kit. I just installed my CP 5200 4 pot 13" full brake kit onto my wrx. I'm currently in the process of breaking in the system. The kit is currently very noisy even if I roll without being on the brakes. It seems there is more noise when the steering is cranked to either left or right. Noise varies from a high pitch squeel to a lower tone resembling more of a 18 wheeler. A clunking noise is heard each time I reverse and than apply the brakes, followed by a second clunk after moving forward and apply the brakes(perhaps the pad is moving with each change in rotation of rotor). So far I have not hit the brakes hard but pedal feel is not all that firm which dissappoints me. A mechanic bleed my brakes at all 4 corners at least ten times just to be safe. I have driven another wrx equipped with the same calipers and brake pedal is totally different and this is what really surprises me. Anyway, let me know if you guys think that some of these things I listed above will change as I increase the break in mileage on this brake kit.
thanks in advance,

This is all pretty normal for true race brakes. I hope you aren't intending these for use on the street, as your intermediate stopping distances won't be so good when they aren't fully up to temp.
