Brake Pad help & model year please
I have a 2003 WRX and am in need of new pads and have pretty much decided to go with the PBR/Axxis Ultimates. I had a pair of the Axxis metal masters on my old Acura TL and liked them alot also, but figured I'd go with their top of the line this time. Mainly I do normal every day "spirited driving". I've already blown through a pair of front pads @ 26k which amazingly the dealership replaced under warranty. Now my back pads are almost gone and my fronts have less than 50% left and I'm only at 33.5K. So I figured it best to change out the fronts with the rears if I was switching to a cermaic pad.
My main question is my '03 has a build date on the door panel of 07/02 and I remember reading that Subaru changed the brakes mid model in 02' and I was wondering if I have the 02' brake system or the newer 03'. Just want to make sure I get the right pads. Thanks in advance.

Yeah I found this out the hard way. I have a late 02, w/ 03 brakes. I needed the little tabs, but was sent the big tabs. It was obviously my mistake, but how the hell was I suppose to know I had 03 brakes on my 02?
But hey, atleast now I know.
