best lowering springs for 05 impreza
hey guys have a 05 impreza 2.5 rs and was wondering what people were running for lowering springs. right now everything on the car is stock. I'm looking for a nice comfortable drop but also improved handeling and the mean dropped stance look. was looking at the tein lowering springs but heard mixed reviews on them. also was wondering what the best spring rate was and what it means..? sorry newbie here
UPDATE: DOES ANYONE HAVE PICTURES OF PRODRIVE SPRINGS ON STOCK TIRES AND RIMS?!? PLZ POST! BTW RUNNING STOCK STRUTS ALSO WHERE TO PURCHASE PRODRIVE SPRINGS?!?

+1 for cobb sport springs, Perfect drop and great performance. Crucial and swift are also some great performers. And to your question about the spring rates its a reference to how much weight is required to compress the spring.

do the swift springs have the nice drop but also good handeling? or would the cobbs be better for comfort drop and performance?
is Cobb an all around good contender in all the aspects as performance drop and quality? what other brands would you guys recommend?

from my research sti pinks, swift, cobb, prodrive, and crucial are good brands and of them cobb has the most drop, 1.5 and 2 inches.
i had cobb springs on my 05 sti but there was some issue, knocking noise coming from the back right, maybe it was the install but i've reassembled it twice and the noise was still there
and for some reason cobb's website shows that the springs are the same for 04-07 wrx and sti.

i plan on just lowering it right now... im looking mainly for a nice/mean lowered ride with comfort and increased handling performance that can run with stock struts. i just dont want a stiff bouncy ride. also i heard that the cobb springs have a lot of problems with the clunking noise.. so im looking for something compatible with the cobb but without the clunking noise issues, love the drop tho ...

the first thing people need to realize is the most comfort, and least noise is oem.. aftermarket involves clucks, dings, sqweeks and all the sounds... oem is the best non sound making setup ever
