ive installed a bunch of these systems on honda+acura
tube just slides over strut body with rubber o-rings
to keep it tight to the strut
kind of a cheesy setup

wow the rex is really jacked up stock....look at all that space betwen the tire and wheel well, thats rediculous ! subaru should pick some shorter springs. looks much better lowered.....but as far as your wheels go...why would u spend all that money on aftermarket SIXTEENS? the car comes with 16s(or even 17s)....why not just paint them? , but then again I just dont understand all of you with your 4 door car *shrug* old school impreza 4 life !

they are 17's not 16's, and the ones from the factory cost to much.

they are ADR SOKUDO'S they are 17 X 7 and they are 21 Lbs. 48mm offset they are retail for $165 each. i got mine on ebay for $405 new. hope that helps ya out.

yeah, the impreza looks kinda goofy at stock height...it's very 4x4 looking, but you gotta keep in mind it's a rally car. Subaru didn't put these out to be primarily street-savvy, even though it seems like everyone lowers these things afterwards anyway.

You can do it yourself if you really want to, but it's a lot easier for people not possessing mechanical talent to just get them installed. Figure maybe $250 for a good job, since you'll need a new alignment done too.

Springs

Someone asked about modification for coliovers but do you have to modify anything to make springs work or can you just remove the factory spring and then install the aftermarket ones
