AGXs and spring rates
I'm currently running Eibach prokits and AGXs and have been mostly happy. I'm ready for something stiffer though. I like the AGXs and thier adjustability so I'd like to keep them, what is the highest spring rate that they AGXs can handle? Could they handle Ground Controls? I've read a bit, how does 300 lb/in front and 250lb/in rear sound? Too much?
The car is my daily driver but in the spring/summer/fall is also my DSP auto-x car and sees 2 auto-xs a month during that time. Ride comfort really isn't that big of an issue since everyone who rides in it now already complains, but given the option of walking they usually quiet down .
I'm not sure about the spring rates on the eibachs but I'm sure it isn't too high. What is everyone else running? I'd like to avoid a $1200+ suspension upgrade but if necessary I'll get some new shocks, maybe Konis.
Any feedback or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
Evan

just give eibach a call and tell em what rates you want in the springs and even though they are custom rates they should not be more than the normal price of springs because all of there springs are handmade on a CNC machine anyway
edit: here is a thread i was looking for

300lbs front/250 lbs rear seems too stiff, especially for daily driving. The only suspension that I know off that has spring rates like those are the DMS coilovers. The STI pink springs (200lbs front/ 185lbs rear compared to 170lbs front/ rear for the Eibachs) or Prodrive springs may be a good alternative if you want to stiffer springs.

in his first post he said he has eibachs and wants something stiffer and it sounds like he does not care if he can feel every bump in the road
i think he would not be happy with the pinks because they arent that much stiffer than what he has, it sounds like he wants sti tarmac springs with should be the stiffest spring you can get

the AGXs should handle that but you might need to turn the dampener up on them to compensate

Prokits are pretty soft...I had 'em, both on stock struts(much better than stock springs) and with the AGX's. Not bad if you live in an area where the roads are NFG, though.
The AGX's are supposed to handle spring rates of up to #350, and I'd like to try 275/225 GC's....just remenber that the rates for GC's are a bit different than for regular springs....the rates don't really 'match up'. Just like coilover and non-coilover rates don't match up.
