2004/2005 STi end links maybe aren't so bad...
I recently had my springs replaced on my 2005 STi with 2200 miles.
I haven't had any track days, just some spirited driving up in the hills, maybe hit a few potholes here and there.
Anyway, when I was getting the springs put in I was told that my stock endlinks, on the stock rear sway bar, were bit twisted.
They look like fecking pretzels and have scraped up the aluminum control arms pretty bad... will post pics tonite...
Warning signs of f...ed up endlinks/swaybar is lots of squeeking and an occasional loud pop when hittin a turn hard...

Car Info: MY04 STi some call it a race car
FYI: STi endlinks can 'flip' when the car is raised off the ground. Always make sure the endlinks are in the upright position before completely lowering the car to the ground.
Have you had it on a lift before your springs were done? If not then it could have happened either getting some 'air' or possibly when the dealership did their 'PDI' just before you bought it.
Don't blame the endlinks, it's usually people not paying attention.
Just my $.01 input,
-Adam

hmmm.
interesting. yah I'm betting that is what happened. I went to a suby vendor for install of pinks and I noticed the squeeking and noise from the rear thereafter. check the thread on the broken strut top bolt for what happened.

I had it happen stock going into a gas station, one turned into a V and the other an L.
On a similiar note, the 04' rear struts suck too, blown my second set with regular driving, an its only 38k.
