1G possible for WRX??
#2
I would think so. I am not sure though. Mods woud be: bigger rims, really good tires, coilover suspension witht the proper weight distribution and damper setup(good suspension tuning), bigger f and r swaybars, suspension bushings(urathane), maybe alk, better f and rear endlinks. These are all guesses of cousre but if you had all of this and maybe more it would get you there.? My 2 cents

Yes, it's definitely possible. Rip out your interior, front subframe, radio, a/c, replace exhaust with 3" straight through, weld in a cage, put on a set of coilovers with 900 lb springs and damping to match, light set of 17s with 245/45 Hoosiers, some nice and stiff front and rear sway bars, new RSB mounts (you'll need them, trust me), a proper cornerweighting, suspension setup, and race alignment should net you 1.0g.
Unless you do a lot drive around a lot on 400 foot skidpads, this figure is completely meaningless. You'll do a lot better to focus more on spring rates, dampers, and sway bars that improve outright cornering power, transitional stability, neutralize handling, and improve turn-in while retaining some ability of the suspension to provide decent ride and NVH characteristics. The last thing we need on this board is another person crying about how they are disgusted and sickened by the stiff and incompliant ride of their Subaru.

Damn, what B.S!
This stupid ATI Terminator Focus pulled 1.02G on the skidpad in SCC.. but IMO it cheated. That car had "JRZ Coilovers" and ran (F)265/35/18 + (R)295/30/18 on Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires ..
haha imagine 295's on a wrx .. maybe then it'll pull 1.0+g with ease?

If the Praxis air suspension can pull a .98G, then a set of konis and ground control with proper spring rates, polyurethane bushings, front and rear sway bars, plus wheels and tires, could probably yield more than 1G.

I'd have to agree with that.
