1994 AWD Stopping woes
Hi, Im about to scoop up a 94 awd impreza. The only issue is a slight sieze that occurs on the pass side front caliper/rotor after prolonged use. It doesnt lock up, but it doesnt release completely. How hard is it to swap out a caliper or perhaps the MC if it turns out to be that for a new one. What am I looking at as far as a price on a new MC or caliper for that side?
Thanks in advance! I look forward to frequenting this forum. Ive been a hardcore VW guy and am getting out of the scene

Any ideas on the tools needed also? I may just buy the caliper and put it on before driving it home.
Im a former VW tech so Im sure a suby caliper swap wont be hard, just curious as to what tools I will need to do the job so I can bring them in hand.
I was thinking it may be the master cyl, but if it were the master cyl, wouldnt the driver rear lock up also as they are on the same system/portion of the MC. So with it being only the pass front its safe to say its the caliper?

Where are you located? I have a box full of the appropriate calipers and rotors, you can have one if you want to pick it up in san jose, ca
Your reasoning is good, and the front left and rear right are on the same line, as are the front right and rear left. It's a double diagonal set up. Swapping the caliper can be done with 1 vicegrip. The bolts are 14mm and 12mm, iirc.
