Yes the front brakes will fit, and are a surprisingly easy bolt up. The rears take a LOT of work, and probably aren't worth it.
Only wheels I can personally confirm will fit are the following :
04 STI wheels
17" Rota SDRs
17" Rota Tarmacs
NO other Rota wheels will fit....and yes I tried them all

To do the rears, you have to swap to the STI backing plates, axles, and differential (which are all different). Sure it CAN be done, but it sure isn't the 45 minute bolt on (yes, you read that right!) that the fronts are!
I'm not sure, but I'd guess that those BBS RK wheels will NOT fit. I'd try and test-fit (or ask around) first....

As for wheels/tires, I am looking at doing the BBS RK in 17x7 with a 225/24/17 all season.

I am doing the same exact thing. Question for you, where did you get the STi Brembo hoses for the fronts only.....ditto the WRX for the rear only? I've got a pair of front STi calipers and rotors comming along with some Legacy rear rotors. I need to get the hoses for the front) and prefer stainless braided at all 4 corners.
BTW, for the wheels I am doing the ASA KA3's.
