Thinking of buying 03 wrb WRX...
The car is described as:
4 CYL 2.0, WRX TRIM, 6 DISC CD/AM/FM/TAPE, 5 SPEED MANUAL TRANS, AC, CRUISE, TILT, PWR WINDOWS, LOCKS, & MIRRORS, ANTI THEFT REMOTE, MAG WHEELS, SPOILER
50,965mi
The advertisement states it to have "Mag wheels," but the actual wheels on it are stock.
Calipers are painted red meaning the car *might* have been owned and beat on by a ricer. The used car dealership selling the car mainly has BMWs, Porsches, etc. They are asking $16,400 for the car. The car has been on the autotrader for about two weeks. I know the 60k maint. is coming up and the warranty is about to expire. I was thinking of offering $16k OTD (not sure how much TT&L is in Texas). What do you guys think?

Can you afford a new one right now? The '05 models are worlds better than the '03.
If you go with this one and you can get it for $16k OTD, that's a pretty good price. NADA puts average retail for that car in San Antonio at $17,950.

I would be concerned about the red calipers though. That almost gaurantees the previous owner was a dumb ***. I'd check the car pretty thoroughly for signs of modding.

i like mr joes suggestion... 05 = RA tranny, updated interior, updated wheels, updated look, etc, etc, 0 MILES! no headache, full warranty, no guess work as far as whats been modded and what can give you issues... Just pay the extra 4k and save yourself the 4k plus worries you may spend on the used one... plus... youd be the first one to break wind in your drivers seat
