go to www.bankrate.com click on payment calculator.
if u wanna get real specific go to www.kbb.com get a price for your car. then go figure out how much u will generally pay. when u wanna find out what others are paying its real important to find people in your area. not all areas have the same economics. some regions are charging more for sti's than others.
also try www.edmunds.com for a price. keep in mind just because these websites disclose costs it doesn't neccesarily mean that your dealer will honor the publ;ished price. they are merely a "guide' to buying.
hope that helps.

Murf, do not shop for a payment - dealer will rip you off in this case. Shop for financing first. Go to 2-3 banks or credit unions and get the best APR you can. Then negotiate the price with the dealer and compare the financing he offers with the financing your bank offers. When you know the amount you are going to finance and the APR you will be able to answer your question yourself. There are a lot of Auto Loan Calculators on the web, I like this one http://www.golden1.com/calculators/vcapps/auto_java.asp

well I went to the dealer on friday. I was going to get the sti for 31k. they were not very happy about that one, they have been getting people here for 40-43k for them. with the cash I had to put down my payments would have been 520 per. mo. and insurance would have been 210 per. mo. so 730 pre month isn't worth it now. Later perhaps but not when I'm going over to a huge sandbox to play with middle east folks soon. OR I'll do and sti swap into my 01 rs when I get back.

the tax is based on the new purchase. even if you have a 20K trade-in, you are still responsible for paying the tax of the product in full. uncle sam will get you!
