squeeking when car is started
Is it normal every time I start my car it sounds like the belts are squeeking, then when my car gets warmer it goes away.I have a 03 WRX with 64xxx miles on.When my friend and I checked it out is seems the sound is near the oil dip stick.

Does it vary when the clutch is in/out?
It is probably the belts, but the clutch bearings can make an early morning squeaking when the clutch is worn. Mine are doing it at the moment. Still, I have 95,000 and a bunch of autocrosses on the original clutch so I can't really complain.

i had the same problem before, when i just first started the car there's a squeaking
sound. My car has 60k miles on it. If you haven't changed your belts that might be
the one making that squeaking sound. I changed mines and the sound went away.
Plus not that hard to change the belt.
