Rubbing noise during cold starts @ 1500 RPM's
Can anyone give me some ideas on what this could be?
I have an '04 Wagon WRX. with about 30000 miles on it.
When I Cold start my car on a cold or cool day I can hear a rubbing noise when the car idles at 1500 rpm. It sounds very similar to a loose belt.
When I tap the gas and the idle goes down (this disengages the choke, right?) the noise goes away.
Can anyone tell me what is causing this?
BTW I took it to the dealer for them to look at and of course they couldn't hear the noise because the car was good and warmed up by the time I drove it over.
TY,
RB
