Questions about my new car
Hello All..............
I am happy to say that I own an 05 CGM STi! Overall
I am satisfied with my car! I do however has some
dealer nit picks! There are scratches on either side of
the front lip and I did notify the dealer! "Bring the car
down and we wil take care of it", when I brought the
car down he looked at the damage and said that is
common when unloading the STis off the truck. He
also said they would repair the damage and I wouldn't
even know it happened, right for $36,000! Not being
satisfied with the answer he said he would make an
appointment for me to speak to someone in the Subaru
hierarchy, what? Help Guys, what should I do?
BTW I am in San Jose, CA!
Mostly Satisfied

Mine was perfect when I got it. Less than a year later the bottom of the front lip is black. Cant even notice it unless your under the car. Have them paint it and call it good. Or try to get some cash back.

If you opt to get it painted as opposed to trying for cash/ accessories, just remember that you should ask for the part to be removed so it can be done properly with out having to do any masking next to adjacent parts. Also that they use a paint suitable for flexible (relatively speaking) bumper parts. I personally hate it when the paint cracks from minor impacts, or years down the road it starts to peel at panel edges.
Enjoy the car!

dude.
i work for a dealership. MAKE SURE YOU GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING.
that is all. generally speaking... if there is anything "wrong" with a vehicle,(cosmetic) it must be brought forth and agreed to be worked on before delivery of vehicle. not trying to be negative on u... but i have been in the car industry for 3 years- and scratching front lips is not common-
i say try to arrange another form of compensation.
anyway, hope everything works out.
