Problems after replacing the fuel filter and spark plugs. Please Help!!
Hi,
I've run into some problems after replacing my fuel filter and spark plugs. Yesterday, after removing the battery for easier access to spark plugs and replacing them along with my fuel filter I could not start the car. The car cranks but doesn't start. It appears that the fuel pump is working (buzzing) but there is no fuel pressure in the line to the filter. I took the fuel line off the filter while my friend was trying to start the car.
Did anyone else run into a similar problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What do you mean it will idle but not start? Did anything out of the ordinary happen during the install? (i.e. did you accidentally arc the positive terminal on anything, did you possibly mis-gap the plugs?)
What year/model is it?
What year/model is it?

That's the thing. Nothing extraordinary happened during the install. I've done this before and never run into any problems. I don't think that it has anything to do with the plugs. I think that it is a fuel pump or electronics.
The car is a 98 RS.
Any ideas??

In order for the car to idle it has to start up. How is your car idling but not starting
Maybe I'm reading this wrong...

Sounds like fuel pump to me. Have your battery checked and clean all the wires. I doubt that's the problem, sounds like fuel delivery problem. Undo the fuel filter and see if fuel comes out. If the pump is working it should have pulled fuel into the filter and it should be full,
