PCV Valve

PCV Valve
Can anyone tell me the PCV valve part number (Purolator) for the WRX?
Also, how often should the PCV valve be changed? I could not find any info in the manual, which I thought was odd.
Thanks for your help.

You're right - the factory does not specify an inspection or replacement for the PCV valve. One online source says 15,000 miles is a good time to change it. Part number may be 11810AA000.
I wasn't able to find a Purolator part number online for the PCV valve. On the 'other' board, one member thought the number might be PV1019. Maybe a local parts store or a chain like NAPA can help out in that regard.
ScoobyMods.com has a thread on replacement of the PCV valve on a normally-aspirated 2.5 engine. The valve location on a WRX may be underneath the intake manifold rather than being in plain sight near the throttle body and ignition coil as on the 2.5. If you haven't already found it, I think it is the dark grey object protruding from the area just below the throttle body, offset to the right in the pic showing the underside of the manifold (you can also clearly see the tumble generator valves) on Egan's pages.
