New Battery purchasing info.

I also just read your info regarding batteries and I must agree with the rest that it's good info!
However it brings me to some questions regarding the type of battery I wanted to buy.
Since I don't want to deal with the acid and such I wanted to get an OPTIMA battery.
If I'm not mistaken OPTIMA is a deep cycle battery and in your posting you said not to get one of those... why?
Aren't OPTIMA batteries made for cars?

I'm curious if I need a new battery for my car. I have an 02 WRX and everytime the bass hits, the lights dim. Is this common or is this a battery problem. It's wierd coz the stock subwoofer doesn't really put out too much power. I also did the grounding mod and heard that this also helps with the electric current.
