BTW, AAA has alot of various discounts like "good student" discount and other such things... Check around and see what kind of discounts you can get for various insurance companies.

try 21st centurty... you should really just do liability. and dont crash ur car. buy the autolock and the lo jack system and an alarm system. that will be wayyyy cheaper than full coverage. also ur autolock, alarm system. and lo jack system. itll be virtually impossible to lose your car. full coverage on a race car for an 18 year old. by the way the WRX is a race car. even though its a sedan. its still a race car.. and full coverage for a youngster is always expensive.. unless your rich.. i recoommmend u do just liability and drive safe. dont plan on crashing ur WRX.

If You want to make You're Dad proud, don't ask for a WRX. Some things just have to wait. My advice is to take full advantage of You're blessings, and get a more reasonable ride that You can afford. I too am working toward the goal of owning a WRX, maby even an STI, but for now I just have to settle for My 2.5 RS, which by the way, is still an awsome ride that turns peoples heads. Work towards You're dreams, and they will be that much sweeter when they come true.
sorry agian,
Chuck
P.S. Delaware is'nt such a bad place.

Just Disability?
The law requires just disability, but you'd be INSANE to drive without collision and uninsured motorist. You can be the best driver in the land; somebody will nail your car while you're sitting at a stop light. And guess what? If you're lucky enough to live in So. Calif., like me, they won't be insured! Lojack is good enough, but a pro wiil have your car on a trailer and " parted out" in Barstow before you can call any tracking service. I know this reply is pretty depressing; but ther's only one thing worse than not having a Suby. It's not having a car, but still having all the payments. Sincerely, Collins

if they hit u with no insurance. they are screwed. they will pay badly and also u can sue the shiet out of the registered owner. also. u can get past the lo jack after u get past the alarm system and the auto lock.

Wake Up!
They are screwed if they have no insurance? You can sue them? You must live a LONG way from CAlif. and be very young. Every dirt bag who drives a beater carries only the minimum for liability. [the law]. And thats if they HAVE insurance. They hit you, total your car, and you sue them for what? Half of the apt. they rent with a friend. If they have no insurance, You'll have to sue them for their assets. [ 100% of 0 = 0]. Get insurance if you are serious about protecting your Suby and your savings. Sincerely, Collins

Insurance
I am an Insurance Agent and I can tell you there is nothing affecting your 'rate' more then your age. Think about the risk... an 18 year old male in a sports car. You had might as well be driving a Mustang GT convertible :P
Insurance the past few years has been bad and the insurance companies have been losing a lot of money... so you know what happens then, right?
For every 9 good 18 year old males who drive and never wreck there is one who goes out and causes a huge accident.... if the cost of that accident is $20,000 then they have to charge him and the other nine drivers $2000 each just to break even! I know its overly simplistic, but its the way insurance works.

one of your first problems! AAA sucks, and know how to milk their clients (just my oppinion- Im getting out of AAA in August and onto someone else)
Im older than most on here (26) and have a super clean record- just got my WRX wagon about 5 weeks ago and my insurance went up 65 bucks for the 3 months left on my insurance over my 97 Rodeo.
So, insure thru your parents (they most likely have good records) and dont worry about it untill you buy a car in your own name (another hint- have a parent co-sign on the car!)

for all i know, for me the insurance on the WRX is still cheaper than me get an acura or honda.
that is the reason why i got a subaru. instead of the RSX.
