$23,710 and that included rear wing, arm rest extension, auto dimming rearview mirror, short shift kit, and tax/tags which was $1500 bucks!!!!! soooooooooooo......that is about $22,210 without tax/tags!!!!!
don't buy wheels from the dealer.......it's cheaper to buy aftermarket.......plus the quality is just as good!!!!

ok......look at it like this.........
right now dealers can't move cars......the economy is just not strong enough.....i don't care how much they say different, people just aren't buying cars. plus.......with 2004 models on the floor now they wanna liquidate thier inventory on 2003 models. add this and the bad economy together and it's a buyers market, not a sellers market!!! this is GOOD for us!!!!
key to this is being able to pay for the car completely....it's harder to deal if you wanna finance.......so what you need to do is pick a local bank that you have an account at, or for you younger guys, pick one that your parents use......see if your parents will co-sign for an auto loan and borrow the money from the bank....if they approve.......YOU'RE GOLDEN!!!!
a couple thing to remember......a WRX is something like $22,110 cost to the dealer....that's a bone stock WRX.......add a few things like a short shift and wing and the dealers cost is prob about 23,000. you CAN buy a car right now for under the dealer cost.....because he'd rather sell it and almost break even that have an older model sit on his lot and take up space.....don't forget dealer/factory incentive too......you never know what kinda deal the factory might have with the dealership that month....they might tell the dealer that if he selld 30 cars that month he'll get 600 bucks back on each one.......you never know...there are all kinds of deals like that for the dealer. with this in mind......do your shopping at the end of the month......about three days before......and if you get what you want tell him you'll be back on the last day of the month to close the deal.
now walk into the dealership and find the sales manager.....ask for him....you don't want some young kid who's new and trying to sell the world tell the manager to show you some cars on his lot.....pick out the one you like....tell him you want it and you'll pay for it in full......with a check. he doesn't care if the check comes from you or your bank........but it's a lot easier than financing it himself. dealers like that!!!!!
now....you gotta think fast........if you find your WRX and it has the rear wing, short shift, and alarm.......you gotta know that those options are worth about 1300 bucks i think...add that to your base price of 22,200 and you know the dealer has about 23,500 in that car......i've seen dealers sell cars for as much as 100 under invoice. so....you know he has 23,500 into the WRX, and you know that the bank offered you 24,000........soooooooo.........offer him 22,500 and tell him you'll give him a check for the full amount tomorrow. he'll prob jump at the chance.......giggle a bit.....and sell you the car.....he'll add tax/tags and that will cost around 1500 bucks......and you know own a WRX for 24,000!!! i worked my dealer well and got my number down to 23,710 tax/tags included!!!
that is how you DO IT!!!!!
one last note.......there are stubborn dealers......if you're local dealer won't do this........drive........even if it a few hours......there are dealers out there who will!!!!!

The reason I started this post is because I can get an amazing deal on a demo 03 with wing, boost guage ans air filter. The problem is it has 350 miles of abuse on it. Is it worth it? I test drove the car and was pretty easy on it but I'm sure others were not as nice as I was.
I guess I'll try to find a low mileage 03 at some other dealer. Seems like others are getting really good deals on low mile 03's.
Thanks for all the replies.
