sticky valves possibly. mine was getting pretty bad gas mileage and the codes it was producing was misfires consistently in 1 and 3. it was also very intermittent. i would get it back from the dealer, code would be erased, it would run smooth, then cel light comes on and it runs a bit more rough. idle was fine it just didnt run smooth (mostly acceleration was a bit crappy). turns out valve was sticking open and an adj was needed (but they found a crack in the head, so replacing that instead...)

Well I am not throwing any codes so thanks for the above suggestion. I just filled up with 8 gallons and got around 215, which is 26mpg. I have yet to clean the MAF, but i did buy MAF cleaner just need to get around doing that. Thanks for all your help guys. I will keep you posted when I do my maintenance.
