Having A LOT of trouble finding my RS 2.5

Well, you guys probably know that I've been posting a couple threads here and there on NABISCO and I-club about getting a used 2.5 RS. I've been searching for almost 2 months now and I can't find one. I really want a GM6 or a GC8 it doesnt really matter as long as the price is decent. Ive searched through my local newspaper, the recycler, i club forums, nabisco forums, rs25 forums, cars.com, autotrader.com, and ebay. I don't know what im doing wrong because I really want this car on my 18th birthday on november 23rd this month it would be a really great birthday present to myself. My price range is from 8 to 10k thats what I'm willing to spend. A little modded is cool with me as long as the mileage is under 100k. Is there any othe places you guys recommend me to look? What can I do that'll speed the process up. Damn these cars are so rare. Oh I live in Southern California.

Well, you don't live in an area populated by many Subarus, and as you said the RS is quite rare, only 14,000 were made. And at 8-10k, less than half of the ones that are for sale fall in your price range. Basically, just keep your eyes peeled and one will fall into your lap.

WRXs are definitely much easier to find, and they do put you several thousand dolars ahead in terms of engine power.

I think that your price range is a little low. Its going to be hard finding a used car w/ mods or w/out mods that is in good condition and under 100k for that price. I think that you're going to have to spend a little more for what you want. I did a search on autotraders and found a couple RS. Be patient and you will find your car.

Sure you can't spend a few thousand more? Even though this one got bumped recently, it looks really nice, and with 46k, factory leather, black and he only wants $13.5k (you might be able to talk him down a bit). It's located in the Bay Area.

He's got an ad on craigs list that has pics of the car, I'd grab the link but craigslist is blocked from work

Body builder at 17? Becareful with all those supplements! Most of those are not tested for long term affects because they are so new. Many doctors are curious to see what happens to these people 20yrs down the road.
