Extended warranty on 05 STi
Did any of you STi owners take the extended warranty for your STI? If so, how much did you
pay for it? I've been thinking about it and wondering if it might be a good idea.

depends on what warranty it is. API has excellent extended warranties. G.E. Capital offer warranties also.
both of them mimic the factory warranty. i have sold several 7yr./100,000 mile warranties for 1,395. if you do buy it ask for the guaranteed refund option(meaning you get the full amount back if you don't use the warranty by the end of the period) and make sure that you opt for the 0 deductible.
remember that you can negotiate the price of the extended warranty. unless the dealer has already dropped the price.
if you plan on putting aftermarket parts on your car i don't recommend getting one. unless you plan on being shady
