Your 04 may have a T70 Torx head drain plug instead of a conventional hex head, so if this is the case and you're going to be changing the fluid yourself you'll need to find a T70 socket. They are available but can be a bit tricky to find.
IIRC the change to the T70 plug was made during the 04 model year, so you should get underneath and have a look to see which one you have.

I had to buy the t70 torx socket online. No one had it in town. I just used regular valvoline gear oil in mine. Supposidly this is the stock fluid. Certan sythetics tend to be a bit thin and cause more grinds. If it works dont fix it.

Grinding does not mean you need a new clutch, slipping does.
You either have incomplete clutch disengagement due to hydraulic issues, or internal trans problems. New fluid isn't a fix and is no substitute for a proper mechanical repair.
The correct fluid to use is a 75W90 GL-5 as specified in your manual, if you can't find 75 then 80W90 is also acceptable.

dont use mobil1 synthetic either(+ its expensive), now i grind in 4th only above 3Krpm shift

i drained it after a week of use and used valvonline 80-90 (didnt have 75) but it still grinds in 4th but around 4k rpm now.... i can go higher but only for the first 5 mins of driving, but when the fluid warms up it grinds at a lower rpm

im going to try one more time with 75 90 and some penzoil syncromesh stuff. this is the last time im going to try this.
