changing differential oil

hey guys, i was changing my tranny and dif fluids today. i have a manual trans. the tranny went smooth, but i can't get the filler bolt (top bolt) on the rear differential off. i am just using a 1/2" ratchet drive with an extension, and that sucker won't come off. i even used a breaker bar and wd40 and the thing still wouldn't budge. How did everyone get it off, because the 1/2" ratchet drive is starting to leave grooves in the square thing on the bolt.

And i am turning counter clockwise.

thanks for any help.

Got an impact wrench? It may be able to bust it free

Also if you got too long of an extension your probably just applying pressure sideways instead of actually turning it. Shortest extension possible will make it easier to turn instead of push.

That's weird...mine came out just fine. If a shorter extension doesn't work, you might want 2 try some super penetrant lube if it seems seized or what not.
