A/C leaking from passenger side
just recently noticed a leak from the passenger side of my gf's 2002 wrx..upon taking the dash out and cleaning out the return hose the leak still seems to be there..took a few pics and when i turn on the a/c it makes a hissing noise like water is circulating and then starts to leak..well any hint would be helpful..thanks

Well for water to be building up to that level and leaking out of the box, I'd think that the drain is somehow obstructed. Perhaps there is some debris inside the evaporator housing that is preventing normal draining? You can remove the fan housing to get a look inside there.

Nevin,
Here is more pictures of that hose. make sure that it's on tight. my hose is also kinked in one area.
if you want to remove it you'll have to remove you're entire AC system. it's one big unit that splits up into different pieces

You're not going to be able to remove the main HVAC housing without a LOT of work. Same goes for the evaporator, to remove it requires discharging the AC system. However you can remove the fan housing to get a better look as I said above.
The info in this thread should be helpful, go to the last post and look at the TSB procedure. Don't worry about the steps for discharging the AC, that is for removing the evaporator which you won't be doing. You only need to get the fan housing off and remove the side cover.
