Guys it doesn't matter...it 'aint his fault and his insurance company is already on the case. So, he doesn't have to worry how high the damages are. Plus, his insurance company is going after SOA for him...sounds nice to me.

If your roof is rippled the car is totaled (I can't tell from the photo).
You need to get some other opinions on the car, because a rippled roof indicates irreparable subframe damage. The roof is part of the structural member.
