Advice before getting 05' Legacy GT
I'm planning to get one in the next 2 weeks with the following options:
Automatic Sportshift
All Weather Mats
Security System Upgrade
Auto-Dimming Mirror / Compass
Metal Pedal Kit STI - AT
Momo Shift **** - AT
Subwoofer/Amplifier
I'm not a mod guy therefore I prefer to have everything in the car from the beginning.
The car is 28,500 msrp and carsdirect.com sells it for 26,500.
I'm leaning towards the deep regal blue color and off-course without a spoiler.
Got any tips for negotiating a price close to that of carsdirect?
Later.

Tell the dealer you use this forum, that could help. Also, if you're gonna finance, don't put the shift ****+pedals+floor mats on the car until after you buy it...they're cheap so it's better to buy them from the parts department and have them not be on the loan. Other than that, don't take any bs from the dealer and if you don't like the guy that's talking to you, ask for a different guy or leave. Don't be the dealer's b***.

remember that prices on parts are negotiable also.
in terms of negotiating the price- depending on availability, demand etc... trying to get a dealership to make a minimum profit on a 2005 model when its still Sept of 2004 might be a little difficult. one incentive that you can try to tell them is that you will bring referrals if they sell you the car so cheap.
if u get 5 speed auto its a rear drive bias where the 5 speed is 50/50.
if you haven't bought your car yet i can give you some inside info
if u like email me at greg@kaneohesubaru.com
