I only drive my WRX on the weekends and sometimes when I let it sit for a week or so the motor seems to start up kind of rough. I garage my car and when it is colder outside it seems to be more of a frequent problem.

Why would it be bad for the car? It will not hurt your car sitting in your garage for a couple of weeks. The only reason why you want to turn the key and let it idle is to keep the engine lubricated. If not, the only thing can happen is a hard start and will smooth out after getting back to driving again. Just enjoy your vacation bro, she'll be fine!

3 weeks shouldn't be a problem.
If possible, don't leave it with the e-brake on. The pads can stick to the rotors and then make an unpleasant BANG! noise when they let go. It is better to leave it in gear (or park if auto).
If the vehicle is outside in the rain/damp, you might find that the rotors will get a light layer of rust. This should dissappear as soon as you use the brakes again.

The dealer told me to not let it just sit there since I have the car in CT and go to school in FL. He said its not good fr the car but from what ive heard from other people they say just to at least turn the car on i guess to "let it idle is to keep the engine lubricated" (me&05wrx). But I never knew for sure
