02 WRX losing coolant
02 WRX, 64,000 miles slowly loses coolant, about 4-8ozs aweek. Have checked hoses, pump and lines but can't find leak. Coolant lost seems to be deposited on passenger side of motor near oil filter on bottom and behind power steering pump on top, cannot find any thing leaking after car is parked. Could this be my pump going bad? From what i,ve read it seems pre-mature since most are repaced with the timing belt 105,000 mi according to the Subaru. don't think it's head gaskets, no coolant being forced out of the resevior or black flakes, coolant always looks clean. Any advice on how to know if it;s the pump or how to locate the source of the leak? ( fans and thermostat operate correctly, 180F normal driving,. 195F fans kick on drops to 180F, when coolant is full.) Thanks.

yeah, after all that it was the upper hose, which i had checked before. Had put Samco hoses on, after I discovereved that was the problem i reversed the hose and it seemed to fit tighter onto the return line, also wasn't as close to the belts.
