WRX wagon rattle
I got a 2002 WRX wagon and have started to notice a very annoying rattling noise coming from somewhere in the cargo area when I go over bumps. It kind of sounds like the tailgate is loose, but I'm starting to think it could actually be the rear suspension that is making the noise. The reason I'm leaning toward suspension now is because I had a friend drive the car while I sat in the back seat to try to figure out where the noise is coming from, and the rattle went away - so I'm thinking that the load of having someone in the back seat eliminates the rattle. But it's just a theory.
Anyone else have this problem?

I have a similar problem...but it's actually the backseat. What is making the noise in my car is the fold down section vibrates. Try driving with both seats down and see if it eliminates the noise. I'm gonna spray some teflon or maybe make some plastic sleeves for the lock/hinge to stop it.
