When I'm in San Jose I usually get around 315 when the light comes on, but here in San Diego I'm usually around 280 some times 230-240 because of all the hills and I tend to be in the 4-6k rpm range here

Out of curiosity, what do you consider to be a "stage 4?" I thought a car that highly modified would have to be trailered to the track and back; not a streetable car.

I must have a real heavy foot too. On a good day, I can get about 270 on the highway. My city mpg is terrible. I do drive the car a little hard, but on an average i can get about 185-220 in the city. I also have 52k miles on my 02 WRX. I guess I need a serious tune up soon.

This is usually between 1/4 and E. I never let it go til the light comes on. I don't feel like tempting fate on that one. With my luck, the one time I do that, I will run out of juice.

I filled up yesterday with just a little more than a 1/4 tank and put in 9 gallons. My odometer said I only had 170.9 miles on it when I filled up. Thats less than 20 mpg. I'm guessing location, driving habits and AC have something to do with it. I think she is due for a serious tune up to help this out. I guess we will have to see about that.

My average speed for the duration of the drive was about 72-73 mph, and weather was warm (mid 70s to upper 90s °F).
380?
What year is you car. Turbo or non-turbo

If I stayed out of boost, I'd get closer to 25 MPG easily. I hope this helps...

When the light comes on, you STILL have a couple gallons in there, by the way. You do the math. I've hit the light several times already, and trust me... as long as you get it to a station shortly after you hit the light, you'll be fine.

I wanted to test out what kind of mileage I would get out of only 1/4 tank. I stopped and topped off again and did the math with the odometer and how much I put back in. Sadly to say, it was a little over 14mpg. I would love to know how you do 260+ all the time. Trust me, I drive it like I stole it all the time. Are you making any boost at all? I run my AC on most of the time, even at night. The price you pay for living in hell! But either way, I don't race, I simply like to accelerate like I was being sling-shotted down the street. And no, I don't consider that racing, I do this little event mostly alone. I love the way it feels. I have over 52k on my 02 WRX, I'm sure that has something to do with it too.
