By mandating a gas that burns 10% cleaner, you've created a gas that requires me to use 30% MORE to drive the same distance.

I've used both Chevron and Unocal 76 here in CA and have always gotten the same fuel economy on (after break-in) average since owning the car in 2001.

Total mileage- From Full to Empty?
I was just wondering, How many total miles do you in your WRX from Full tank of gas to when the Empty gas light comes on?
I get 280miles on my 2004 WRX. Just wanna know this is what most people gets for their WRX.

I've been getting just 280 miles too. Which averages out to just a lil over 20mpg. I expected better mileage however, it is a sports car after all. This is in Cal with crappy 91 octane, at $2.50/gallon no less.
Ahhhh, I remember the days with my '85 corolla gts and sub $10 fill ups. It seems like I can't get away from a car that gets much more than 300m/tank.

To accurately measure your fuel economy, fill up, go to the automatic shutoff, note how miles your car has. Go drive around, for as long as you want, farther the better. When you fill up, again go to the auto shutoff, then again note the mileage on your car. Take the difference of the mileage now, and your previous note, divide by amount of gallons you just filled up. Now you have accurate estimate of fuel economy, repeat.
I get anywhere from 20-24 MPG depending on HWY/City and how big a hurry Im in. Overall for the last 25000 miles I've averaged ~21 MPG.
