Sad....
I am getting about 350 miles to a tank... I drive the car like an old man, and I relize that the car has learned this now..lol :-( When I shift in first it goes to 3500, then all the other gears it's at 3000 rpm.... I don't shift any higher because I don't have an exhaust so there really is no point, because you can't hear the car, or it sounds like it's going to die once you get to like 5k rpm... I don't race either, have no reason to. Maybe since I am actually paying for my car, I'm gentle with it?
All I know is I've made my car into a nice looking economy car...bla! :-(

Good to know about the stage two, and mpg. What type of stage two are you running?
Thanks,

gas mileage question
What kind of gas mileage should i be getting on a stock 02 rex cuz i think mine sucks. i am nowhere near the 21 city and 28 highway that it says. what is a reasonable gas mileage and what could my problem be. i tried the whole cleaning system into the gas thing and that did nothign. any help would be greatly appreciated.

The car inherently just gets bad mileage compared to other econoboxes. 21mpg seems reasonable. I've been getting about that much on city driving. Make sure your tires are properly inflated and you're not carrying around extra weight in the car. You could try switching gas brands to see which one would help you best. I usually get better mileage with shell compared to 76 even though 76 gives a bit more performance.

345 miles with 14 gallons of gas, or 24 mpg. It was mostly highway though with A/C on half the way.
I'm guessing lots of variation depending on air temperature hitting the intercooler.
