just under 300 today, driving conservatively for 95 percent of the time from full to gas light. How the heck are you guys getting 350-380?

I broke the 400mile mark on my wrx, of course it was nothing but freeway driving at 65-70mph. The exact mileage was 406.3 by the time my light came on.

Talking

Wow!! Hi folks, Im new here. Planning to get my New STi within the next 2 weeks. Im writing here today to introduce myself and to thank everyone for all the great reads on I-club. I took a really big interest in the gas milage thread because its one of the reason why im getting rid of my '03 Ford F-250 V10 4x4 Super Duty truck. LOL! On a 25 gallon fill up w/ 87otcane (with a lift kit, huge tires) I was getting proable 6-8mpg City, and 10-12mpg on the Highway. LOL! insane. I decided on the STi because its a spiffy little car that I could still take it with me when AWD comes in handy (i.e. Snowboarding, surfing etc..) with what everyone is saying about 20 something mpg, I just about soiled myself. I'm Estatic! Im really looking forward to my soon to be STi. Hope to get to know all of you better!

Couple questions: 1. does anyone have the HKS SSQV (bov) and does it effect your mpg? 2. Does anyone currently own an STi in LA area, and what is your gas milage like with LA driving?

TIA

About the same for me. I got 275 (mostly crusing down the coast at 65) but generally around 225 for a full tank. I'm running Cobb stage 2 with a full tbe and upipe. Cheapest gas by my house in San Francisco is $3.03

It's always fun to see the comments and read the experiences on this thread, but isn't this the most lame thread in the world? It never dies! Miles per tankful is pretty much meaningless. I took the average of all my fill-ups during a two month period earlier this year. 22 MPG for my '03 WRX Sedan, stock except K&N panel filter and 225/45/17 rubber. Fuel consumption was 27 MPG on a long trip taken last March.

Just hit my all time high for miles per tank! Woohoo with gas over 3 bucks a gallon I need that. I got 340 miles on my last tank before the gas light came on...but I drove it til 350. I've actually been getting that many miles out of a tank consistently, these past few weeks. And that's city/highway combined driving.

My mods:
Eibach Pro Kit Springs
Painted calipers (more aerodynamics, better fuel mileage )
Sti v.6 standard edition RA gears
ACT Streetlite flywheel
Exedy Sport clutch
Vishnu 321 uppipe
ERZ catless bellmouth downpipe
straight pipes

Oh, and this is a 2003 WRX wagoon.

stock '05 sti. I think mine can go ~300miles on one tank. highway. i'd say ~275 city if driven conservatively.

I only needed 7 gallons or so, but I topped it of this evening just in case there is a gas shortage over the holiday weekend. Thank you, Katrina. Maybe I'm being over-cautious, but I need to drive to get to work. Supreme was $3.19.9 at both Shell and Chevron in Davis tonight... just miserable.

catless uppipe/turboback exhaust and ecutek (02wrx wagon) gets me 220-250 if Im leadfooted or 280-300 if I 'try' to be conservative.

when it was stock I could get 300+
