WRX Questions

I've had my WRX for just over a week now and am loving every second of it. I've just about hit 500 mi - 500 more to go!

I've been asking around what to get to improve performance, other than the chip. I've heard that getting a better filter or something to that order would. Anyone have any ideas?

Also - would bitter bitter cold effect the turbo and pickup a little bit? Either it's so cold that the engine isn't taking off as well as it did 2 days ago, or Im just getting used to the engine. Ideas?

Where do you want to start? A MBC can be had for under $50 or you can do the uppipe. There are also different pulleys you can use to minimize power loss from there. From what I've seen, CAI and catback exhaust gains are minimal without other mods. The handling of the car can be enhanced quite a bit with better tires.

For a little over $1k you can go with Vishnu Stage 0 which will markedly improve accelleration (chip, uppipe, MBC and pulleys if I remember correctly).

How much pound of boost can u get with the stock turbo using a boost controller?

Not sure but a lot of people are running 15# and don't seem to be having problems. Of course with an MBC, the boost will stick at 15# and won't taper off like the stock one does (not sure about the EBC's).

I have a question, if i buy a bigger top mount intercooler and a pe 1820 turbo is the top mount intercooler goin to handle that turbo or would i have to buy a front mount intercooler?
