At least all WRX's are capable of running a low 14. To the best of my knowledge the vast majority of mustangs, even V8's run in the 15's stock untill recently. Like all fox body's untill 2002's ran 15's. Let's not even get into V6's. 2.5rs>V6 mustang.
But seriously don't hate on a mustang for doing the quarter mile. It's the only bit of thunder they have, unless you flip them upside down, they double as a bass boat.

The only problem is, if your gf is into cars, she wants to drive her own car, not ride with you. And sometimes it is a pain to always take 2 cars everywhere.
