And Impreza's are built in Japan. It says it on the door if you dont believe us. Subaru is a Japanese company.
The whole "outback" thing is strictly an advertising gimick to sell cars, and Subaru has no relation to Australia other then that they sell cars in Australia as well...
(You know, I wouldnt be surprized if a large chunk of the US population still thinks Subaru is an Australian company...)

Fuji Heavy Industries is actually a combination of five companies. Definately Japanese companies also. The American public usually just doesn't know what they are talking about. Like when they call a Honda a Japanese car when the bulk are built in the US.
