Is the WRX AC effective

I'm considering buying a WRX wagon and a did a test drive a couple of weeks ago. I wasn't terribly impressed by the AC's ability to cool the car and it was only in the 70s. Could you warm weather types comment on how effective the AC is in cooling the car in the summer. I live in Florida so 90-95 degree heat with high humidity is the norm for six months out of the year.

While I have seen better, I'd give the AC a passing grade for Hawaii. Rear passengers do complain every now and then though. Just invest in some tint and a sun shade for the windshield and you should be fine.

The performance benefits are enough for me to look past the shortcomings of the AC.
