why do they do it???

why do so many wrx drivers think thier car is worth thousands more than kbb because they put on lowering springs a catback a short shifter and front and rear lips????

thats not customization.... it's just r-tard bolt on-ers thinkin thier subie is a ferrari. freakin wannabe tuners... it adds $0 value to the car. it's quite frustrating.

i'm in the market for a track car right now, pre 06. everyone trying to sell bugeyes for more than 10k is really pissin me off.

anyone here got some bright idea's? looking to stay under 9k for the car alone, so i still have budget for my build.

Well I don't want a STI. Really needs to be a 2.0. I'd love a JDM version 7 but that is probably out of the question for my budget. Specifically I want a 2002– 2003 model ej205 bugeye, just because I like that motor better than the 2.5 L. Going to gut it and take out all the unnecessary components. So I'm looking for one that is in kind of crap shape. Not afraid of a salvage title car if somebody is going to be reasonable about one. I'm trying to build a track car on a budget. Worked it out so I can afford to upgrade every major component that I'm not removing.

I was just venting because I was frustrated that all the beaten ones seem to be 9000+ dollars when that's K BB value for one in perfect shape.

Searched the entire California state. Couple of decent ones way down south, but I'm in Norcal and it's pretty dry for selection.

Would pay significantly less for salvage title car without frame damage by the way. But some of the salvage titles are listed as much as KBB for clean title

Goodluck took me about 2-3 months to find my bugeye..But i was looking for a clean title that was decent,I went to look at a few and i was really amazed at the garbage and price. One guy had a car that was F'ed up fenders hanging,Blue rad support, car was psm moldings missing this thing was just wow and he was asking 7k like wtf?was he smooking? My advice is just keep looking everyday,i managed to get a clean title car for a great deal and i meen great deal. but drove about hr and a half to get it.When i was looking i would say 8 of 10 were salvage title as well and those were going for more than the clean title cars lol

I feel ya. It's crazy what some people think the value of these things are. I sold my first bugeye wagon for way under value of K BB. Granted it at the very least needed a new head gasket maybe even motor. But I was reasonable and it sold almost immediately.

I know you're all probably thinking I should have just kept that one, but I really want a sedan not the wagon. Stiffer chassis = better on track, not to mention more room for rubber to grip the road.
