i-Club for 4 years now (my post count went away when my old username got messed up) and reading magazines. I read mostly "Car" and "EVO" from England because they tend to have the most informative writing around.

what Alex said......I've worked on at least 6 other cars besides my own
look for people doing installs in your area, ask if you can come & watch/learn, most people will welcome a little help

How is 14 too young to take apart a car? I started taking things apart when I was too young to remember. Find a car that doesn't run and take it apart, that way it won't matter if you screw up and it'll only cost you a hundred bucks or so!

I can't learn that much by just reading about it.....I have to do it.
but, the boards have helped me get in contact with a few people

I also went to school for a month for the Army to learn general maintance/repairs on diesels, just simple stuff.
