when do you need speed?

^ and when you're on the 680 or 580 and grandmas are passin' you while you're going 75 already. Onramps for sure. Freeways as long as you don't put other lives at risk and V8's who rev next to you... j/p

I think that all street racing is not bad. I have a road where i live that is a mile straight. Its a four lane highway with a center turn lane. Its sweet. There is almost 0 traffic on it. If there is any cars you can see em comming from about 1.5 miles if you can see that far. Motorcycle racers have marked 1/4 mile marks in spraypaint on the road. It's kinda wierd that this road is there. There is GM plant out there and this road was converted from a two lane to a four lane for GM. Still there is little or no traffic and no ramps either. It is a very safe place to street race. THATS WHERE I NEED THE POWER!

There are plenty of places that I could use the HP I don't have. Onramps and highway merging, 2 lane passing, abandon country roads, and that possible threat of an assasination attempt on my life! If someone ever started shooting at me, I'd prefer an STi over a Cavalier any day. Ok, the last scineriois a bit far fetched, but I remeber one i-club member talk about being chased and using his AWD capabilities to escape.

HP
I use my HP to race im not gonna lie, i race on the street, but its only on occasion during the summer mounths. I live in michigan and everybody goes out to a street called Woodward and cruises up in down a 10 mile stip of the street. You have to show up all the mustangs and porches out there. And for my friend hes gotta show up all the ferrari's and lambo's. It's all in good fun, and we make sure its good to go at the stoplight before we race.

Some might find this hard to believe, but during my commute (Monday-Friday on Highway 4 during commute hours) I literally don't have any opportunities to go WOT. There is not even an opportunity to go WOT on the freeway onramp because freeway traffic is already stop-and-go.
Kinda sucks, but SF Bay East County guys who drive Highway 4 will know what I'm talking about. I guess that's what weekends are for.

Speed need
A friend of mine once said he thought driving was like a game of chess. I dunno about you but I want a POWER piece to make the moves on the board (road). I like to use the speed to break out of a pack of bad drivers or if some clown shoes is cutting back and forth between lanes or if some moron is aggressively tailgating me. I will open it up to put a safe distance between me and those people who need driving lessons.
