Just want to know if I should wait for the STI to come out before buying a 02 WRX. So far, people have tell me that I should get a 02 WRX when the STI comes out because it would be half the price of the car. I was hoping the price drop would be $17k or under. So help me out and tell me what do you think the price drop would be and how much a 02 wrx cost when STI comes out.

 

I have no clue. But I found out all the local dealers here have all sold their 02 WRX's(this is around the suburbs of chicago.) If anything, they have only one in stock, they're selling quick. If you can, buy after the STI comes out, just remember finding one might be hard.

Oh, and 17k is a little too low, i'd imagine 19k at least, but then again, the dealerships want to get rid of them as fast as they can to get 04 models in quicker.

from a dealer, they wont mark it down because theyd lose money. used? prob about the same, because the stis are really limited and they are gona be gone so fast, itll be like a blink of any eye. i have a MY02, they hold their value pretty well. whatever you see priced for my02's in auto trader or any other magazine will prob give you a good idea, but right now its what 17, 16 grand for a 02? at a dealer you can get one with a 3500 dallor rebate (irvine subaru) for about 19 or so, so it depends what you want.
