WARNING: Body shop Battered my WRX!
Well I let my girlfriend borrow my 02 WRX when it was raining and some idiot hit it in a parking lot. Their insurance was going to pay for a new door and fender (how that guy hit a parked car that hard just awes me!). I purchased my car at a place called Franks Irvine Subaru. The Franks company owns alot of foreign car companies here in Orange County, including Mercedes, so I figured Franks Auto Collission in San Clemente, Ca was a good bet. When I was dropping the car off to get worked on there was a 1970's Corvette they were messing with right next to my car. They swung one of those huge doors and it landed on my WRX. I went out there to tell them to be careful but decided not to make a big deal out of it. This really gave me a bad feeling about the whole thing. Also I gave them my new STi hoodscoop for painting, but told them not to install it ( figured they would not do as good of a job as me). 2 weeks later I pick up my car. To my horror they gave me some extra bonuses. 6 new dings!!!!!!!!! One on the right rear door, 2 on the passenger door, 2 on the front fender, and one on the hood. On top of that Franks Auto Collision scratched my fender probably while installing the hoodscoop I told them not to do. They even "lost" my stock hoodscoop. Also I am missing a bold for the hoodscoop and a bolt for the fender.
All this in 2 weeks! I spoke to the manager and he said they would give me a good deal on paintless dent repair. Why do I want to spend more money for their carelessness? because I cannot prove the dings were professionally installed by them.
I've decided not to deal with them anymore and let the subject go. But I will spread the word, and hopefully noone will be subject to their neglect anymore.
By the way Franks Irvine Subaru is a good place with great people and the best service department. What a shame about their body shop.

Call SOA and complain - it helped me (or so I think) when Emich Subaru in Tucson, AZ failed to fix my Outback properly in 2000. They took three months to get the parts and did a lousy job after that. Subary sent me a 100$ coupon after I called them and complained about the whole thing, and then I got reimbursed by Emich for the repairs I had to make at another dealership in Washington a year after because of their inadequate workmanship.
