Want one! what mods?
Ahhh I really want a WRX, my current vehicle is a toyota tacoma thats built for the desert and I may be moving to tahoe so i need a 4wd vehicle, Anyways if I do get a new car im going with the WRX, im sure this has been asked 100x but what are the best simple mods to do? new coilsprings, a new BOV (i heard it doesnt do anything really but i like the sound) and maybe a good aftermarket short throw? Im looking for less expensive mods that are most bang for the buck, Id prefer mods that most likely wont cause major warranty probs. I have driven a WRX that was insane (im sure theres a ton) but it had full coilovers and sticky tires, all new turbo intercooler etc, REALLY smooth short shift, I would love to have that but wont happen because my extra money is going to finish my truck, Im sorry for the long newbie post but what do you guys think are the best simple mods? I want a rex so bad but I hope i can afford it.

catback exhaust, intake filter(AEM) possibly new cold air(injen or aem if you want bling-bling flava)
go with subaru's short throw- the only other good option is Kartboy and honestly it's better to stick with subaru, because that won't detract from the value of the car.
BOVs are waay cool. you might also want to think of a boost controller, turbo timer, or if you want great power for not much, just get a piggyback ECU from vishnu or other tuners.
subarus are great! i hope you get one.

You will end up getting everything on your list any way.
at first I said an exhaust would sound cool so I ordered a JIC bullet...sounded cool!
Thought a Blitz intake would sound cool too , "I promise , honey , that's it!"

Wait a minute , those HID kits are realy comming down in price...What the hell.
Carbon fiber air diffusers? Totaly useless...waste of money...I'll take 'em.
Never , but never will I put a BOV on , totaly an attention getting mod ...completely useless , just listen to all the righteous anti BOV talk, no way Jose'....So how in the HELL am I going to explain that blue anodised FORGE BOV in the trunk I am going to install this weekend?
When I justify taking out two perfectly comfortable seats WITH side impact protection for a set of Sparco Torinos you may all come over and beat me with a stick , if she left anything to beat!
So get whatever you get first , I don't care anymore, I live for this damn car, it's your disease now too!

choline, yours sounds really cool, do you have any pics? send to shrtbordr@aol.com if so, Wow I would really love to get a WRX now but im already obsessed with building my truck lol, I want to try to keep the rex simple for a while if i get it. I have driven one WRX that was crazy, off the top of my head i know he had coilovers, sticky tires on some OZ rims, new intercooler, turbo, piggyback ecu, gone through all the clutch and braking systems, had something HUGE like 14in rotors, This thing would fly through the gears and get to 140 like nothing and around corners was insane, BUT he had like 15-20k into the thing and it was a track car. Well I do want one and i have found one for 21.9k out the door was 23.7k including tax and lisc, do you think i could get better then that?

CAI- $200
BOV-$150
piggyback ECU- $700-1000
eyebrows, rims, bodykit, other goodies to get the hunnies... $2000+
having a car that IS your life- priceless
btw my car is stock i'm just kidding. the prices are ballpark though.
