Used STI so many problems?

Hey guys I just bought my 06 STI from a used dealership. 06 with 38k miles. Everything seemed good. Car handled well and everything. During the first week of having the car I had a blowout on the freeway, (had to buy 4 new tires) ok dumb luck. I have had this car for a month and now the power steering pump is going out ($990 dealership) and then the other day I had a crazy shake in the steering wheel (front end) and i could barely make the turn. Had a shop look at that and they think its my rack and pinion.

I know i bought the car as-is but is there any laws with selling a car that has all these problems?

thanks for the help.

There's certain time frames for the Lemon Law that allow you to undo the transaction and I believe it's a few months.

I thought it was around 3 months or so. If it's from a used dealer the Lemon Law is in your favor.

If it wasn't stated 'as-is' at the time of purchase you should be covered.

You are S.O.L. Always pay WAY less than asking price just because **** like this happens.

There is no cooling-off period for purchasing of cars in California. You signed that paper when you bought the vehicle. And lemon laws do not apply here at all.

38,000 miles on it? Is there a chance the car is still covered under the 60,000 Subaru warranty?

There is probably a certain amount of years too along side the mileage, but I thought it was only a 36,000 mile warranty?

Yeah it was 5 years. Warranty expired in last year at 37k miles. There is an extended warranty on the car but the dealership won't let me use it because I didn't purchase it original owner only.

The warranty is 3 yrs or 36K whichever comes first. This doesn't apply to your STI, since it has 38K.

5 years 50 or 60k warranty is powertrain only. The 3 year/36k warranty is everything else.
