Turbo, and shifting
Ok, I was pretty good with break-in. I exceeded 4000 a handful of times, but only for a second, and shifted, so I was good. I hit 1000 miles and have some questions.
Ive never had a performance engine, when's good to shift. Ive been shifting high 5's and 6's. Is this good?
I noticed a little lag occasionally in 3rd gear after the turbo - maybe between 3800 and 4300 RPM. Is this normal?
Help!

If you're racing you always shift at redline (well slightly before). Even though some cars make slightly less power at redline than before, shifitng high means that when you shift the motor will still be in the powerband (IE where the engine is making most of its power in the RPM range). The turbo starts making power around 3500rpm, so if you short shift the car it'll lag.
