I'd wait another 7-10 days until the credit scores get updated from the close of the 3rd quarter. If you were good and kept yourself from spending too much from July-Sept, then your score should have gone up. Every little bit of positive credit helps these days.

Was in the same spot...
I traded my 2001.5 VW New Beetle in for a 2008 Impreza 2.5i. Everyone who knows me knows I am just allergic to turbos. Personal experience on the track and off...but that's beside the point.
It was a hard decision to make considering I was almost done paying off Kato but it ultimately came down to if I really wanted to do an engine swap or continue to deal with the gremlins (the car seemed to know when payday came around and my girlfriend was wondering if I was spending more time with my car than with her...it was that bad).
Anywhoo...those '09 WRXs are really the best all-round packages. Handling is top-notch (so much so I am saving up for the suspension swap on mine) and the engine just growls with enthusiasm like a lion on the prowl. And, if you decide to go with manumatic (shutter for those who haven't driven a top-end sports car lately), it's so buttery smooth...very VERY similar to a Massi. Not as fast mind you but just smooth gear transitions.

Except for my prius never will i be caught dead owning an automatic again. in the prius was manual... well that would defeat the purpose now wouldnt it.
