When I think supercar, I think 600+ HP, two seater, mid-engine, RWD... 450 hp, 2+2 seating, etc. is what I would call a really good "sports car". Still very nice, but not a supercar.

The STi offers a lot for a fraction of the price of cars that cost 3 to 5 times more than the STi, a lot of those cars can't dream of doing what the STi could potentially do, or at least not as well. So for about $35k you get a versatile car with super car like performance. It what makes a Subaru a Subaru.
