As a complete non-sequitir, my favorite Japanese electronics chain is Sakura-ya, or "Cherry Blossom House". The one in Shinjuku is 8 stories of electronics madness, with every floor a different theme (i.e. cell phones on the ground floor, video on 2F, audio on 3F, videogames on 4F, appliances on 5F, etc.)

Subaru is actually the Japanese name for the Pleiades constellation, which consists of six stars in a formation that has become the basis for the Subaru logo.

The Japanese word for star is actually "hoshi"

I've wondered what the symbolism of the Subrau emblem was about. The Pleiades is one of the coolest things in the sky, especially when viewed with a good pair of 15X70 binos. My question now is: why the Pleiades? What is the reason for picking this particular constellation for the Subaru emblem?

When I popped the hood of the WRX the first time, I actually told the salesman the engine looked like it had been retro-engineered from alien technology.

What some people don't realize is that the Pleiades is a seven star constellation.

Maybe they just wanted to be different from eveybody else and besides what's more embarassing than getting beat by a pink car? I wouldn't know because my sti is a MONSTER!

I would post pictures but my it says that the file is too big.
